Ameco, part of Fluor Corp., one of the world’s largest publicly owned engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services organizations, is implementing Exact’s Globe Enterprise to coordinate and consolidate its subsidiaries’ database. What started small at AMECO Mexico and its 12 branches might now extend to all of Ameco’s international offices and Fluor Corporation’s global offices. Ameco’s business model depends largely on the up-to-the-second flexibility and availability of its services and rental equipment. The capability to see this information clearly is crucial. Ameco has two main goals: To build a standardized platform with one global solution and to integrate the field service and rental processes into the database. Both goals are interdependent: A global platform enables the subsidiaries to provide the necessary information; the data integration at local level is fundamental for a global platform.
The processes for gathering information, controlling, billing, inventory, supplier and customer relationship management, and so on, will be streamlined to one data resource – Globe Enterprise from Exact Software. This ensures higher data quality in real time, accuracy, speed, and increased productivity. At Ameco Mexico, Exact is replacing a local legacy system that had no data integration. Exact’s offering was the only one of all the solutions Ameco considered by Ameco that comprised the full integration of field service and rental activities. The consolidation of information on all relevant business processes among Ameco’s activities on one single platform frees the company’s resources and enables it to serve its customers even more effectively.
