Infor is delivering customers our Infor Open SOA framework with Infor ERP SyteLine.  As we roll out the feature packs with version 8.0, customers will be able to take advantage of the Infor Open SOA technology without additional licensing requirements. 

  

 A summary of Infor Open SOA is below:

 

1.  Our component framework that Infor uses to develop new components

 

·    Application Framework:  Infor's application development framework for new SOA components.

 

·    User Experience: Infor's Web 2.0 user interface framework for new SOA components, providing users a rich Web-based user experience.

 

·    Component Deployment and Administration providing a common way to securely and consistently deploy components in a distributed business network.

 

1. Our deployment framework used to deploy new and existing applications and components, including the Infor DEM (Dynamic Enterprise Management), our business process management platform

·    Navigation: Provides customers with 360-degree navigation around their data and guide end-users through key tasks and procedures

 

·    Choreography:  Provides the choreography of business processes through the rules-based routing of business documents

 

·    Event Monitoring:  Helps customers ensure end-to-end business process integrity.  In addition, this will be the future direction roadmap for the Event Management solution

 

·    On-ramp: The interface between Infor solutions and DEM.  A standard for information exchange between Infor solutions and connecting to non-enabled applications. 

 

·    Registry:  A service that provides interface definitions and the applications that support each interface.  

 

·    Master Data Management:  A set of common services that manage master data across Infor and non-Infor solutions

 

·    Security:  Common services that helps customers centrally manage users and their roles as well as monitor compliance of their Infor software licensing

 

·    Reporting:   Common services used to collect data and deliver formatted information.

 

 

Infor Open SOA is designed to embrace our customers’ heterogeneous IT environments.  We use an event-driven SOA model that uses the OAGIS BOD as our canonical data model.  That way, Infor applications can publish and subscribe well known and standardized information that is in a format that is easier to integrate with non-Infor solutions. 

 

 

By rapidly adopting Infor Open SOA, we will be able to deliver increased agility, accelerated ROI, and lower total cost of ownership to Infor ERP SyteLine customers. Building out the ability to tap into Infor Open SOA will ensure that the data and information resident within Infor ERP SyteLine can be shared throughout the enterprise and more readily leveraged across the Infor solution offering. Connecting with Infor Open SOA makes the process more straightforward because integration with other Infor applications will be pre-configured out of the box.
