What began as a home decorating project evolved into a full-time passion, and in February 2002 founder Eileen Simpson and her husband, Brian, launched their new venture. Over 200 fabrics make up the Casa Fiora fabric collection in colors ranging from citrus greens and warm reds to organic, earthy neutrals and browns. Fabric styles are diverse and include patterns in houndstooth, checks, silk ikats, designer dots, fashion-influenced florals, damasks, horizontal stripes, suedes and high-country patterns. Draperies are available in standard finished lengths in one-inch increments and have a 100 percent cotton lining and interlining or optional blackout lining for light protection and insulation. Casa Fiora draperies can be customized with trim applications and covered buttons. Additionally,
Casa Fiora offers a line of related hardware and soft home furnishings to coordinate with their custom draperies, including cornices, valances, decorative pillows, table skirts and a custom bedding program of duvet covers, bed skirts, shams and decorative pillows. Items in each of the collections are available in a variety of different fabrics and are delivered within four weeks or less.
The Situation
Casa Fiora began with a simple search for window treatments. When the founder encountered outrageous prices and complicated processes for ordering what she wanted, she made it her personal mission to find a better way. As a result of her determination, she has managed to change how it's always been done. Now, Casa Fiora is the source for custom options, letting you marry the details that suit your taste and budget with the styles and fabrics you love. Custom window treatments, pillows, table linens and bedding are shipped in four weeks or less, instead of the months required for most custom sewing jobs.
The Solution
Because Casa Fiora is 99% custom made, the flexibility of abas ERP is great. Casa Fiora was using three different software systems for purchasing, production, and customer service. With information in all different places, it was difficult to find the right and accurate info in an efficient manner.

The ability to have everything, all information in one system and to get accurate reporting has really increased business. Accessing information within a given time frame, without going between systems, gives our employees and customers quicker information and increases our quality of customer service. Casa Fiora was using Quick Books for sales and reporting. Their Production department was working out of two Excel spreadsheets, where they had come to the end more than once. Purchasing used yet another ERP system. abas ERP synchronized departments and optimized workflows, which resulted in satisfied customers. Using a product configurator, Casa Fiora can build products on the fly. “It is great to have a system that allows us to build on top of whatever information we need to operate our business proficiently”, explains Melissa Lampley.
