Materials Management for CMiC Construction ERP
CMiC Construction ERP handles materials and equipment as cost-bearing assets tied directly to job cost rather than as a separate inventory ledger.
The Equipment and Inventory module tracks owned and rented equipment across the fleet, including utilization, maintenance schedules, and internal billing rates charged back to projects. For contractors carrying significant iron, this is where equipment cost recovery either works or quietly erodes margin, and CMiC posts those charges to job cost as they occur rather than through a periodic allocation.
Inventory management covers warehouse and yard stock, material transfers between jobs, and consumption against project budgets. Stored materials are handled with construction billing requirements in mind, including the documentation needed to bill for materials on site but not yet installed.
Because materials and equipment records live on the same database as financials and project controls, a transfer between job sites updates both the receiving project’s cost position and the general ledger without a separate reconciliation step.
