BRAND

The Company: About BRAND
With equipment from BRAND, laboratories around the world can work easily, effectively, and efficiently. This is a requirement that the company also places on its own processes. When BRAND built a new, ultra-modern logistics center, the decision was also made to switch to the digital future.
Together with SAP® Services, the company introduced SAP S/4HANA® as well as SAP Extended Warehouse Management and SAP Global Trade Services — and became considerably faster and more flexible from order to delivery.
The Situation: Scalable Processes
-
Processes were hardly scalable, and those that were required great effort.
-
The newly automated logistics center should be set up with an innovative, future-proof logistics solution.
The Solution: SAP S/4HANA
-
Seamlessly integrated a complete portfolio of SAP S/4HANA® and special solutions for warehouse management (SAP® Extended Warehouse Management) and cross-border trade (SAP® Global Trade Services).
-
SAP Services has proven its own expertise and solution capabilities in several implementation projects at BRAND and is considered a trusted advisor.
-
SAP Activate project method leads to fast results from inventory and gap analysis to go live with IT and user support.
-
Increased agility in the order-to-customer process from delivery confirmation to legally compliant delivery worldwide.
-
Increased transparency and shorter response times of warehouse processes thanks to integrated logistics solutions including material flow control.
The Results: SAP S/4HANA Implementation Benefits
BRAND’s overarching goal was to replace the fragmented, time-consuming, and difficult-to-maintain IT landscape that was in use at the time. It was to be replaced by an end-to-end networked system environment, linking all essential processes from top floor to shop floor management. Everything – from planning to executing production, and from reception to delivery – was to be connected.
This was achieved. Through this, transparency was created that now enables decision-makers and employees to adjust faster and more easily to constantly updating demand levels.
