In 2021, Shoptech Systems and its ERP products were acquired by ECi Software Solutions. E2 Shop System was restructured and renamed JobBOSS².

Bar Coding
Employees can also post material at the data collection clocks or PC. Barcode your material and have the employee post the material as it is used. Automatic break buttons so that employees can go straight to lunch without having to walk over to the clock to log out of jobs. Prevent employees from logging on to steps if the previous steps haven’t been worked on. Eliminate user error by making sure the right time goes to the right step. E2 manufacturing software can handle multiple levels of BOMs, both purchased parts and manufactured parts. E2 also has material calculators to help calculate how much material is needed to fulfill job requirements for customer orders.
Handheld/PocketView
PocketView is real-time labor reporting, Hot Spots, messaging, inventory transfers, and inventory adjustments all rolled into one. The PocketView software runs on a Pocket PC handheld device. PocketView gives users the ability to walk the shop floors yet still have access to critical business information.

In addition, each inventoried item can be stored in multiple bin or lot locations. When inventoried items are allocated to a job or finished goods are sold from inventory, the E2 Shop System stores the history of where the raw materials or finished parts were pulled from. This eliminates the guesswork when quality control becomes an issue.
Inventory Management
E2 can help manage all of your material with reorder levels and multiple bin locations with costs at the bin level. Tracking inventory can be managed from a LIFO, FIFO, Standard, and Average Cost basis. Inventory adjustments can also be made through our count sheets or our mobile application, PocketView.
Lot and Serial Control
E2 ERP system has lot and serial tracking for both raw materials and finished goods. Serial numbers can be populated throughout the system. Lot traceability can be added at any point in the system as well.

Order Entry
You’ve received the go-ahead from your customer. Now you have to get the order into the system and out to your shop floor. The E2 Shop System allows you to turn a quote into an order within a matter of seconds with“Point and Click” ease. Any job documents required for the job can be attached to the order with the same“point and click” convenience, allowing you to create a complete job folder.
Quoting/Estimating
Accuracy is the key element in ensuring your profitability. The E2 Shop System takes the uncertainty out of estimating by utilizing pre-set rates for:

General Ledger
E2 has a totally integrated General ledger module with journal entries, trial balances, income statements, general ledger summaries, cash flow analysis, and audit trails.
Payroll
E2 has a completely user-friendly and integrated payroll module called Centerpoint, so data does not have to be entered more than once. E2 payroll can handle multi-state and direct deposits.
Interfacing with QuickBooks
The E2 interface will re-create your E2 invoices directly into QuickBooks, eliminating the need to manually re-enter this detailed information to run your accounting. You have a choice of either using our Real-Time sync, which automatically re-creates the invoices from E2 into QuickBooks, or you can choose to run the batch process.

FAQ’s
Can I keep using QuickBooks for my accounting and just use E2 ERP System for the Shop Floor?
Yes. E2 has a number of customers that do not want to part with their QuickBooks but are looking for something more for the shop floor. E2 can handle all of their quoting, scheduling, barcode data collection, job costing, and inventory, and QuickBooks can handle all of their accounting. Clients can get the best of both worlds, the best Shop Floor Control system handling all of the shop’s needs and QuickBooks handling all of the accounting needs.
How long will it take me to get up and running on E2?
Since Shoptech can convert your QuickBooks base data, there is no need to manually enter any data. When you get the CD from Shoptech, your QuickBooks data is already pre-loaded. So you never experience any downtime and are able to hit the ground running.
Is there any double entry required between E2 and QuickBooks?
No double entry is needed. The data goes right from E2 straight into QuickBooks.
What Does the Gold Certification mean?
QuickBooks Gold and Silver developers have undergone an extensive testing and approval process to ensure that the software products seamlessly integrate with QuickBooks.
