Firstbase is an IT asset management platform powered by global logistics and warehousing.  Their mission is to make sure IT teams have the right devices for their employees anywhere, at all times, handling everything from hardware procurement to global warehousing and logistics. 

VP of Hardware Operations Ahmad Zakaria oversees these systems behind the scenes, so IT teams can focus on their people, not on chasing down laptops and invoices. Shipping thousands of devices per month with 50%+ YoY growth, Firstbase needed an operational system that could scale without adding overhead.

The Situation: Fragmented Procurement, Logistics, and Finance

Firstbase’s operations spanned a complex web of disconnected systems. They were managing procurement across 100+ vendors in different currencies across 150+ countries, with suppliers ranging from traditional to modern API tooling. Warehouses and logistics platforms operated in siloes across three regions, making financial reconciliation a time-consuming, manual process.

Firstbase needed a platform that could connect these systems, automate repetitive work, and provide a reliable source of truth that could support their rapid growth.

The Solution: DOSS Operations Cloud

Firstbase chose DOSS as the connective tissue between their fragmented systems. With an end-to-end procurement module, they can now track orders with vendors globally using automation or API workflows instead of manual emails and spreadsheets. From there, DOSS is working on orchestrating Firstbase’s orders into one operational system across 20+ warehouses and global shipping partners.

Moving forward, Firstbase plans to expand its integration with DOSS across finance and accounting with Coupa and NetSuite integrations, enabling three-way matching that reconciles purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries, so discrepancies are easier to resolve.
